- From his North Dublin studio, Peter Donnelly creates award winning images.
He works in three main areas of illustration, Advertising, Children’s books and Animation.
In advertising, he is recognised for his creativity and range of styles by the following agencies: Rothco, Leo Burnett, McCann Erickson, Bloom, Ogilvy and Maher, Cawley Nea, Chemistry, Irish International, DDFHB, Boys and Girls, Mammoth, Young Euro, QMP, The Brand Union and Sweet Media.
His work has been featured in several AMPC Gold star awards and he co-owns The Station, a leading pre-visual and storyboard service based in Dublin.
In children’s publishing, he has illustrated over thirty books for clients including Foras na nGaeilge, The Oxford University Press, Leabhar Breac, Mentor Books and The Educational Company of Ireland.
His work in children’s television includes art directing the globally successful and award winning animated series PicMe for Jam Media Ltd and he has supplied conceptual artwork for Brown Bag Films on several short form productions.
Peter has also worked with some leading animation film companies both in Europe and the United States such as 20th Century Fox, DreamWorks SKG, Don Bluth Studios and Hahn film, Berlin. As a feature artist he has been credited on over fifteen box office films to date in a variety of artistic roles.His collaborations in animation have won many awards including IFTA's, Digital Media Awards and a Golden Unicorn.
Peter is a member of the Illustrators Guild of Ireland and has lectured students in film pre-production at the New Media Technology College in Dublin.
